Okay so both episodes 8 and 9 are finished, and have been for a while now. it took us a long time, and thats mostly because of our busy lives. there's school, work, travelling, and girls that recquire our attention..that sorta thing.
plus ive been awfully busy with my band, .. things have been going great.. expect a little clip of one of our songs in a future episode..

on another note, one of the Team is leaving for Australia for 8 (!) months. and it just so happens that Sir Doug also does the voice of Saint Pete.. so weve been trying to record as much as possible for future episodes, so that we dont bump into any problems in his abscence..

but yeah EP VIII will be out in a week, MONTHS too late.. i suggest you check out the past episodes in the meantime, if just to refresh your memories storywise.

on a personal note, ive been finetuning some skills a lot lately.. have been painting a lot, made some interesting webflash thingeys, and im absolutely drwowning in tattoo design-requests.. which is awesome..
think i mentioned creating a one shot before, and now ive fleshed out a nice little idea, but im going to keep that a secret for now.. its something completely different than Corey Stuck in Purgatory, and basically revolves around the song that accompanies it... but hey youll find out soon..

jeez finally !!

got myself a new job back in novermber, and received loads and loads of projects as a freelance artist, so Corey had been put back on the shelf fer a little while, but i got to finish EP VII just now, and im glad its over with. dont think i EVER took this long a time to finish an episode.. but hey were still going strong, the storyline is thickening with every passing second, and im telling you, there are loads of surprises and obstacles ahead of us!
we were kinda troubled concerning the overall story, but things are coming together quite good at the moment, and weve really put down the basic storyline up till the end, concerning the moral and overall plot. hope yer ready for it, cos things are going to get a little darker and grittier from now on!

on another note, i have been working on and off on EP VIII as well, and im pleased to tel lyall itll be finished in a week or two !! EP VII kinda serves as a prelude to EP VIII, laying down the bricks for a surprising and actionpacked new episode.
VII is kinda tame. there aint no vicious beasts or hellish monsters ..yet.. its mostly just talk.. BUT it does feature the arrival of Saint Pete in Hell!! with predicted difficulties. ofcourse
anyway, ill be releasing 7 later today, and ehm.. i hope yall will enjoy it!

so here's the update on Corey Stuck In Purgatory : everyone's favourite giant file-sized cartoon series :)
ive been taking a little break from making new episodes. not because i didnt wanna make em or anything, but i recently got a new job which has been taking up a lot of time, and my freelancing work takes up the rest of it. Plus, its good to step back every once in a while to review what ive been doing the last year. I pretty satisfied with the whole cartoon series ive been making. Ive gotten great responses and an award for every episode, what could i possibly want more?
ill tell you what, MORE EPISODES!
the stroy of CSIP is thickening, which is nice for the viewers i assume, but its tricky for me and the writers. its getting so complex that we literally have like 3 different versions of the entire story right now.
But yeah, CSIP has been a wonderful training ground for a number of skills. animation, concept art and maybe my favourite: background art. oh how i love to create worlds that dont exist, and interpret Dante's version of Hell in a slightly stoopid, almost happy kind of place. Cos well, up till this point hell has seemed like a theme park fer Corey. bright colours, bouncy things, a peculiar imp by his side and no admission fee!
but thats going to change, i guarantee you. as soon as Corey steps out of the quite harmless first 3 circles, things get darker and grittier. more claustrofobic and way more aggressive. but yall will see that in the future episodes.
also, a new returning character will be added. nt going to tell you who it actually is, but think hard, and you should be able to figure that one out on yer own.
plus, from now on there's going to be a little twist to dante's original story, and that is the arrival of Saint Peter in Hell (which doesnt happen in Inferno, heck, Saint Pete isnt even IN inferno.) He's going to play a major role in the entire series.
I am going to be a little short on VOICE ACTORS in the future, so if anyone can help me out.. hit me up!

i also plan to do a one-shot thing on my own after EPISODE X, but i havent got any ideas for that yet. I want to do something serious. no voice acting, just music(b myself, maybe by my band) and then make a cool videoclip or something. idono.

so thats it i guess! Episode VII and VIII are in the works as we speak, and VII will be released in a week or 2!

Surprise! 2 CSIP releases in just over a week(usually yall have to wait like..a month)
EP 5 had been in the works for a while now.. and im sorry i have to say its a short one.. BUT some questoins are finally answered, and this one really really lays down the base for the rest f the story..so its the final -dialogue- episode, as i refer to them.. cos basically, thats what EP III, IV and IV were mostly filled with dialogue.. but that will change from EP VI, when the journey through hell TRULY begins..

So ive been asked by a lot of people why my movies are so short in comparison with the filesize.. and honestly, i dont have a real answer for ye.. all i can say is, i edited the sound quite a ot, most of it is just 24 kps, and i always adjust the quality on imported JPEG's (which i use a lot, seeing as i make 75% of the backgrounds in Alias Sketchbook,..which is a program i can really recommend to any artist who works with a tablet a lot..)
im guessing that my flashes have a lot of detail in them, which just bulk up to a massive filesize.. and i asolutely suck ass at AS, so no scripted cams or anything that might change the situation.. i guess yall will have to deal with it..sorry :)

oh, and im gettnig SO SICK AND TIRED of those Teddy-chainmails.. but hey who isnt.

As some of you might have noticed, we revised the first episode of CSIP. we feel that its more consistent with all of the other episodes than the original version was. we kinda wanted to finish EP I as fast as possible back then, but when we saw what amazing responses it got, we quickly felt discontent with the effort we had put in both graphics and audio.
anyhoo, i hope yall want to check it out, along with all of the other episodes.. have fun!

EDIT: been hearing some word of people disliking the idea of removing the old EP I.. waddaya think?
